How about a surprise?

Surprise Dinner is a important part of our dinner rotation. You need a few things to make it happen. Magnet tiles, a muffin tin, and 12 items that make up the dinner. Ideally you fill half the spots with foods you wish your kids would eat and 6 spots for things you are pretty sure they will eat. It’s a hoot to see them take each tile off and make a face, give it a try, or act like they didn’t see what was under it.

Take away: Surprise dinner is a great one to eat in strange places combining two weird dinner options - Surprise dinner & Dinner in Strange places - in the bathtub, under the table, or outside. It’s going to be a hit!

Try this: Exploding Kittens

If you need something for a rainy day or after school check out Tim Ferris’ new card game Exploding Kittens. The kids 5+ will think the cards are hilarious and they will love when you pull the exploding kitten to lose for the 10th time.

Cook This: Carrot Cake

However you feel about carrot or cake this is worth trying. Try it for a birthday or for no reason at all, which is the best reason.

Dad Fun - Go to a local minor league game

Since it officially spring, it is time for baseball. My recommendation is minor league baseball. There are teams everywhere and they have the best names and logos in sports. Not just the Savannah Bananas, how about the Mudhens, the Lugnuts, the Ironbirds, and the Hillcats. The hats are legit as well. The point is you can take everyone, get all the snacks you want and not need to take out loan. Also minor league game realize that games need a little something extra in terms of fun and the kids can always run the bases at the end.

Try this: Google your local team and invite your friends. You can do so many things at most of these games and even watch the baseball if you choose.

This newsletter is not professional in nature but intended to be real things to try. They won’t all work but this is a process and I’d love for you to join me on the way. Thanks for reading and we hope to see you next week.
