This is simple not easy
It’s nice to be important but it is more important to be kind.

The theme of being kind keeps coming up for me. Maybe it is the way elementary schools kids say a kid is mean or not their friend for some reason. Kids are rough on each other in both word and action. What’s interesting about kindness is that is not really for other people it is for you. The way you treat others is an internal reflection of yourself. We do this with our kids, our spouses, our families, and people in our every day life. How you are to others is really how you are to yourself. Kindness can also have a ripple effect in your life that you may not even be aware of and even if it doesn’t keep doing it anyway. What if our goal from here on out is to raise the kindest people we can instead of the smartest and the fastest? This is a challenge and a chain reaction that you have to start dad. Start now or today or this week but start, the world and your kids need you.
Dad in the kitchen - Get your A%$ in there
Turkey Sweet Potato Skillet- 20 Minutes no sweat.

This one is going in my top 20. Add a can of black beans and you have the complete meal that everyone (might) like.
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 pound free-range extra-lean ground turkey (you also can use grass-fed ground beef)
1 teaspoon garlic clove minced
½ cup onions diced
½ cup yellow pepper diced
1½ cups sweet potato diced
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
A pinch of red chili flakes optional
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (If you're doing Whole30 or following Paleo diet, don't add cheese)
Fresh parsley for garnishing (optional)
Dad Magic
Halloween Practice

Don’t assume that your kids know how to trick or treat. Grab some candy and head to your door. Model it first for them and then give them a few tries. Make sure to reward effort and make sure they get it right. We are not barnstorming we are receiving treats from our neighbors we will see tomorrow.
Potential Scrip:
Knock Knock or Doorbell
“Trick or Treat”
“We love apples and toothbrushes (disgusting).”
“Thank you”
Throw in the bushes on the way to the next house. Kidding, don’t mention this, they will do it. Kids don’t joke and getting anything besides candy stinks.
Practice makes better. Don’t expect your kids to do anything in public that they haven’t practiced in
Dad Fun
Music Time.

All kids are singing songs at school right now. Some want to start singing Christmas song early and some make up their own. God bless. Sometimes when I take a break from video calls and content online and listen to music it feels good. Like old Pearl Jam or Tom T. Hall. Everyone has an album in mind that they had as a tape or CD. Pull that one up to show your kids. Mine for the record was Automatic for the People by REM.
Get some instruments, anything can be a drum or maraca
Get someone to do the teaching of the song, see if you can find a version of it to listen to
Play it a few times through and feel free to adjust the words to include some words your kid love (IE: Butt, Fart, Unicorn)
Or just dance
