What’s your plan dad?

To do:

  1. Move your body

  2. Cook something together

  3. Play a game

  4. Go to the library

Try this: If you don’t know Jesse Itzler, check him out—especially his Big A#$ Calendar. It shows your entire year on one giant page and forces you to be intentional. Decide what matters and put it on the calendar now. If you don’t, something else will fill that time. Block time for you and your kids today. Make a plan for tomorrow and watch them get excited about what’s coming.

Try this: Write a letter

Letters are an analog goldmine. They take time and thought—unlike a text, which means about 99% less. Write one to your mom to say thanks, or to a friend you miss. Anyone you’re glad to know. It doesn’t need to be long—just a few paragraphs. Report back.

Cook This: Coconut Cookies

Here is another cookie worth trying. Simple ingredients, let your kids do everything. Enjoy together!

Dad Fun: Build Your Daily Routine

Pick 5 things you do every day that are irrefutably good for you. Commit to them—first thing in the morning or throughout the day. Build the routine, then build on it.

Try this:

  • Drink a glass of water and stretch for 5 minutes

  • Do 50 squats (10 at a time)

  • Walk 7,000 steps—take 5-minute walks when you can

  • Track your gratitude 3 things at a time - keep it close when you need a reminder

Dad Magic: Draw

Ask your kid if they want to draw with you—I bet they say yes. Grab some paper, pick an animal or something in the room, and draw together for 15 minutes. When you’re done, hang it up.Check this out: 40 Art prompts for kids
